Biography

GARY BRANT RISSE
1945-2010
Gary Brant Risse was born in Pasadena, Calif., in 1945. He was taken from us unexpectedly, suddenly and too soon on the morning of July 16, 2010.
Gary is survived by his mother, Marjorie; brothers, William and Gregory; wife, Carol Gerardo; children and step-children, Andrea, Geoffrey, Danielle, Anthony, Tina and Tammy; and seven grandchildren, Danielle, Megan, Anthony, John, Jillian, Piper and Abigail.
He was a treasured son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, caregiver and friend. Gary will be greatly missed.
Gary found his soul mate in Carol Gerardo. They were looking forward to growing old together. He served in the U.S. Navy before earning his physical therapy degree from USC. Gary worked for Yountville Veterans Home and then as a home health physical therapist for Kaiser. After retiring two years ago, Gary found additional love for life, doing many of the things he had always wanted to do, including more time with children and grandchildren, camping, hiking and sketching.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 3-6 p.m., at Tulocay Funeral Home Chapel. A service at the chapel, followed by a reception, will also be held at Tulocay on Monday, July 26, 11 a.m.
