Funeral Service: Thursday, July 08, 2010 11:00 AM Tulocay Cemetery, Napa, CA BiographyEDNA M. CRIST1925-2010 Edna M. Crist, 84, passed away at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center on July 3, 2010. She was born on August 10, 1925 in Colmesneil, Texas to Orlando and Unney Connor. She moved to California at age 14 and attended Wooden Valley School. She married Ralph A. Crist on August 12, 1941 at the age of 16. The couple settled in Wooden Valley and enjoyed 61 years of marriage until Ralph died in 2002. Edna loved cooking for her family and there was always more than enough food to go around. Edna always had a large garden and canned her fruits and vegetables to feed her family throughout the year. One of her favorite family trips was camping at the coast where the sound of the waves brought a sense of peace and calmness. Edna is survived by her children, Raymond (Carol) Crist, Klamath Falls, Oregon, Robert Crist, Fairfield, Patricia Crist, Fairfield, Richard (Gloria) Crist, Fairfield, and Ronald Crist, Fairfield; 6 grandchildren, Shannon, Brenda, Jason, Robert Jr., Jack and Rebecca, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Burton (Betty) Miles, sister-in-law, Vivian Crist, and brother-in-law, Everett (Ester) Crist. A graveside service will be held at Tulocay Cemetery on Thursday, July 8, at 11am. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
