Funeral Service: Friday, March 12, 2010 11:00 AM Signs Memorial Church, Yountville, CA BiographySTELLA STRICKLAND1934-2010 Stella Strickland passed away March 3 at the age of 76 in Napa. Stella was born Jan. 27, 1934, in Czechoslovakia and moved to Canada with her family at the age of three. She graduated from Andrews University and spent most of her career teaching high school. She married Richard Broome in Michigan in 1964 and they adopted two children, a son David, and a daughter Dawn. Sadly Richard passed away in 1979. In 1986 she moved the family to California to teach at Monterey Bay Academy. She found love again with Lloyd Strickland in 1993 and they were married until his passing in 2001. Throughout her life she loved to travel, play the piano, garden and read. In 2006 Stella moved to Yountville to be closer to her children. Stella had a deep love of God that carried her through life and was a witness to many. Stella is survived by her devoted children, son and daughter-in-law David and Sarah Broome, and daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Derek Williams; stepchildren, Fern Adams, Wally and Marsha Strickland and Bob and Lori Strickland; and her sisters, Anne Krpalek, Jo Hess and Mary Jane Rasnic. Memorial Services are Friday, March 12, at 11a.m., at the Yountville Signs Memorial SDA Church, 1920 Finnell Road, Yountville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adventist World Radio, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Springs, MD 20904, Monterey Bay Academy, 783 San Andreas Road, LaSelva Beach, CA 95076 or Hospice of Napa Valley, 414 S.
