BiographyEILEEN ELIZABETH RIPPLE1940-2010 Eileen was born in San Mateo to Mervyn and Dorothy Reilly on Nov. 13, 1940. She attended St. Matthew's Grammar School, Mercy High School in Burlingame and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from USF. Eileen met Bert at USF in their freshmen year and married in August 1962. Eileen's nursing career began at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae. Eileen, Bert and family moved to Napa and for 28 years she continued her career at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafting, thrift-shopping, collecting, and most recently writing her blog, but most of all celebrating with family and friends. She'll be remembered by her husband, Bert; her sister, Sharon, of Glendale; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and numerous friends; and by her seven children and 17 grandchildren: Sharon and Marcos Kropf, of Sacramento, (Megan, Anna, Connor, and Emma); Stephen and Cindi Ripple, of Peoria, Ariz., (Brian, Nolan, Andrew, and Ethan); David and Karen Ripple, of Keller, Texas ,(Daniel, Christopher, Katie, and Ryan); Linda and Dan O'Hare, of The Woodlands, Texas, (Reilly, Donovan, Aidan, and Shane); Paul Ripple and fiancée Jennifer Bonneville, of Los Angeles; Michelle Ripple, of San Francisco; and Christina and Jason Bokamper, of San Jose, (Caitlin). We welcome you to read Eileen's blog at dansesouslapluie.wordpress.com Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2-7 p.m., with the Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m., at Tulocay Funeral Home, 411 Coombsville Road, Napa. Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m., at St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen Street, Napa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Eileen's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Cancer Society, Justin-Siena High School in Napa, or Mercy High School in Burlingame. |
